a few years ago, wake county public school system (wcpss) started thinking about the experiences they wanted all learners to have when designing a new school. 瑞士vs喀麦隆亚盘赔率 has supported the strategy, design, and implementation of over 14 new schools in wcpss. each school’s experience was tailored to its individual needs based on their instructional priorities and goals. now wcpss has the systems and processes in place to continue the work on their own.
our work with buncombe county schools (bcs) began with ensuring that the district had a clear understanding of the learners they educate. through a nc dli grant, bcs used a design thinking process grounded in the needs of their students to build a learner profile tool for both k5 and secondary students. this tool enabled teachers to truly connect with their students in a holistic way, leveraging both quantitative and qualitative datas about their learning styles, passions, and goals. bcs then invested in a cohort of schools to begin implementation of personalized learning components in their classroom. this targeted approach provided teachers and coaches a year long cohort experience that included professional development and progress monitoring through learning walks. the data collected was leveraged to make meaningful shifts in classroom instruction and prioritize development needs for teachers throughout the school year.
